Kind, experienced and reliable rider wanted to help with my horses
Wanted:
A very kind, experienced and reliable rider to gently hack out my 17 year old (but sometimes slightly spooky!) 15'2" Welsh cob mare twice during the week, for around an hour. My horse is a little stiff for flat work these days, but she still loves hacking out.
You must be available to ride out during the day midweek (I ride at weekends), have your own transport (unfortunatly we're not close to any station or bus stop) and be willing to groom and assist with skipping out duties.
This would suit anyone who enjoys hacking in nice countryside (no roads) and regularly riding and developing a relationship with the same horse, but who doesn't have time or is unable to own their their own horse because of other commitments. I can be entirely flexible on when you ride, to suit you, subject to the rides being spaced out during the week and obviously during daylight hours.
I have owned my horse since she was three - she is a real character, I love her to pieces and her welfare is my priority. I would therefore like to hear from anyone who is looking for a long time ride, as opposed to a short term job. This would suit someone who isn't just in it for the money, but genuinely loves horses and riding, but is unable to have their own for whatever reason.
I also have a 15'3", cheeky and intelligent 4 year old cob, who I have owned since he was six months old, and who adores human attention. I would welcome hearing from anyone who would also be interested in helping me bring him on the spring (when he is scheduled to attend boarding school - he's already been lightly backed at home this summer) - so the job is likely to involve exercising both horses in a few months time, and will obviously suit someone with experience of bringing on and schooling babies.
I pay £10 an hour and I am located between Grove and Hanney. Initially, I am likely to need someone for 3 or 4 hours in total a week (45 minutes to an hour's riding, and half an hour to 45 mins grooming/skipping out per session), but this will increase in the Spring when my youngster will also requires exercising and bringing on.
Please email me if this sounds of interest to you, including details of your background and experience. References required.
Many thanks !
