Information Service Co-ordinator
In the initial stages of developing a bespoke web site, the main purpose will be to liaise with contributor organisations in order to source accurate and current information. Subsequently, the Information Service Co-ordinator will place and monitor information on the website. It will also be important that the co-ordinator can cover a range of tasks from administrative roles through to personal and telephone contact with contributors.

Key Tasks
In particular the Information Service Co-ordinator will undertake the following primary tasks.
1 Organise and administer the service base in Oxfordshire
2 Plan and undertake visits to partner organisations and individuals
3 Make and develop good relations with all support groups
4 Engage in literature searches for the bespoke website
5 Help maintain a ‘library’ of information that supports the project
6 Develop and maintain the website to include a ‘carers'’ forum facility, in liaison with the web-site designer
7 Ensure all the data and information complies with legal regulations
8 Maintain data/information standards, adhering to the Data Protection Act
9 Ensure data and information remains consistent across the database
10 Support user access in forms that suit their needs
11 Liaise with locally based groups and organisations over publicity etc
12 Mail information materials, letters, fact sheets, press releases, etc
13 Develop, manage and test backup and recovery plans
14 Ensure that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly
15 Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
16 Control access permissions and privileges in line with policy
17 Liaise with and respond to the Trust Practice Consultant and General Manager
Other Tasks
1 Participate effectively in supervision and performance meetings
2 Support the specialist work of the Trust as directed from the Care Research unit
General Requirements
1 Present yourself neatly with an appropriate dress sense and good personal appearance
2 Demonstrate integrity and honesty and work cordially and with respect for others
3 To work well with colleagues and support and foster good team relations
4 Undertake work appropriate to the post in support of other colleagues that may be required from time to time.
HOURS: 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday
SALARY: Circa £19,000 - £21,000 pa (pro rata part-time)
LOCATION: Witney, Oxfordshire
HOLIDAYS: 23 days + bank holiday
