It Support
You will be responsible for providing 1st line support to internal users and agreed external parties too, responding to a broad range of IT issues including bespoke software, Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications, Desktop Hardware and peripheral devices as well administering the internal telephone system and managing and supporting the network printers. You will add new users to the network ensuring all security levels are maintained, plus escalate calls to 2nd and 3rd line IT staff as and when required.
The successful candidate will have held a similar role, such as IT Helpdesk position or IT Support role with a good working knowledge of the following:
Windows Active Directory Administration
Microsoft's Desktop Application Suite, primarily Office 2000, Outlook 2003
Microsoft's Client Operating Systems, primarily Windows XP
Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
Experience in administering Microsoft Systems such as Microsoft Exchange
Supporting remote users and laptop users
Experience with HP/Dell desktops
Working with an ITIL environment
Avaya Index Phone System would be advantageous
You will be a flexible team player with excellent communication skills, be organised, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and have a structured and methodical approach to administration as well as auditing.
