Band need a bass player. Ideal age would be 30 years plus. Would need to be committed and WANT to gig. Could also do with being able to add backing vocals. Live near or in Oxford area and willing to travel to Witney.
Own transport a big plus. Own gear needed. Gigs arranged. Well paid. Have original material and would like to write more - although it has to fit into the style we are currently playing.
Influences - The Jam, The Enemy and anything vaguely to do with the MOD scene(Small Faces The Who, The Kinks etc) Although if you like punk/new wave first generation bands (The Clash/Sex Pistols, Blondie etc) you would probably dig the stuff we are playing. We have a lot of gigs waiting that pay well. Commitment is really essential as this is the THIRD time we have tried to find a SUITABLE player - although it feels like an endless search.
PLEASE - no "ego's" and DEFINITELY no "oh I'm far to cool/ good/ going to be too famous to ever play anyone else's songs!" type of big headed egos who will NEVER get anywhere please. This is a band - we play music, we have fun, we get paid well and ENJOY it
We don't want to be the "next" anything - because chances are with THAT kind of attitude you will be the next....big nothing.
Mean time WE will be playing week in, week out here and abroad to audiences who are out to have a good time.
