Chef De Partie
Our client, a prestigious Oxford University College are looking for an experienced Chef De Partie. You will be required to support the Head Chef in the provision of an excellent quality of food for College members, students, staff and conference guests, you contribute to good kitchen teamwork and to the successful performance of its Key tasks.
The position will be working a 40 hour week, over 7 days with 2 days off per week. Hours will be either earlies or lates.
Responsibilities:
- Daily preparation of menu items to standards set by the Head Chef.
- instruct, train and guide staff when rostered as duty supervisor to ensure smooth running of day to day operations.
- Order, receive, store and rotate food and sundries to College standard operating procedures.
- Ensure your actions minimise risks to Health and Safety, by:
• Working safely and obeying all College Health and Safety rules as set out in the College’s Health and Safety Policy and Staff Handbook.
• Ensuring all hazards are reported using the College accident book.
- Other duties as required by the College.
- Work flexibly to ensure effective team work.
Qualities, Experience and Qualifications
- An effective communicator with supervisory experience.
- Clean with a smart appearance.
- Five years industry experience.
- C&G 706 1&2 or NVQ equivalent, intermediate food hygiene certificate.
- Ideally you will have 2 Rosette experience
