Field Service Engineer - South, Drives and Control Systems

My client are a leading consultancy offering design and servicing services to the process control and automation industries. Due to expansion, they are looking to add a Field Service Engineer to their Drives and Control Systems team based in the South East of England.

Reporting to the Field Service Manager, this role involves visiting customer sites both in the UK and overseas to carry out the maintenance and servicing of their Drives, PLC and Control Systems. The Company designs and manufactures customised Control Systems using variable-speed drives for AC/DC motors and associated Control Systems. Customers are world wide in many different industries including oil / gas, petro-chemical, onshore / offshore drilling, marine and transportation.

Ideally candidates should be qualified to HNC or equivalent in electrical or electronic engineering. Prospective candidates should be conversant in both analogue and digital electronics. As foreign and UK travel may be required from time to time, a full UK passport and full UK driving licence are required. The candidate should ideally have 3 - 4 years relevant experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Preference will be given to candidates having worked with Drives, Power Electronics or PLC Control.
