Volunteer in South America
Kiya Survivors is a UK charity building and working in educational centres in Peru, catering to young people with special-needs and those who have suffered abuse and abandonment. Kiya Survivors also offers support to young and violated women and families living in severe poverty.
Kiya Survivors needs people to help work with the children and young people, working as teaching assistants, helping with activities such as sport, drama, creative/life skills and taking them on excursions.
If you are a qualified medical/educational practitioner it is likely you will be able to apply your skills at the centres. Your work in Peru will make the most of your individual talents and skills and we ask that you make us aware of your areas of interest.
Also useful are practical skills: building, decorating, woodwork, gardening and administration skills. Volunteers can also help teach English to our Peruvian staff, children and young people and parents.
