Till Retail Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To ensure that customer satisfaction is paramount at all times
• Responsible for supervising the till operatives and ensuring adequate cover is available
• Responsible for the requisite training and development of all till operatives as and when required
• Responsible for cashing up at the end of each day, noting and/or correcting any discrepancies
• To ensure that you liaise with all departments, particularly Goods Inwards, in order to be aware of incoming deliveries
• Responsible for dealing with all customer complaints and ensuring they are handled efficiently at all times
• Responsible for working in conjunction with Managers and other Supervisors/Team Leaders to ensure that correct staffing levels are maintained at all times
• To ensure that all staff comply at all times to the procedures contained within the Employee Handbook and the Health & Safety Manual
• To ensure that your own punctuality, conduct and customer service are of the highest standard thereby setting the level for all members of the team and Garden Centre as a whole
• Must be prepared to work on a flexible rota basis which will include Public and Bank Holidays
• To gain feedback from customers whenever possible concerning the services provided and the identification of any possible areas for improvement
• To support stock take function as and when required
• As a team member you are responsible for maintaining target driven company service standards
• Must maintain total confidentiality on behalf of the company at all times


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• At least 2 years previous experience in a supervisory role
• Experience of working within the same or similar environment desirable
• Good customer service skills with previous experience in dealing with customer issues preferred
• A high level of secondary education including excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• The ability to communicate well and able to converse with people at all levels
• The ability to prioritise your duties in order to achieve the targets set and maintain customer satisfaction
• Must be a good team player and work well as part of a small team
• Must be willing to participate in Development training programmes
• Must be prepared to multi-skill and support own team members and other departments as and when required
• Must have their own high standards of workmanship
• The ability to take the initiative and be held accountable for their work
