Volunteers needed for Card Aid shop in Oxford city centre
Do something worthwhile this Christmas, and add another string to your bow (CV)!
We are offering volunteering opportunities in our Card Aid Christmas card shop in Oxford. This shop is run by the Charities Advisory Trust, a registered charity, and stocks cards from a huge range of charities (both national and local), as well as other seasonal products. Our cards come with the assurance that ALL profits from the cards you are buying are going to charity.
The shop is staffed by a permanent shop manager but needs volunteers to ensure everything runs smoothly, which is where you come into it...
We need volunteers to serve customers, label stock, help out with signage and PR work, and generally help the shop manager where required. The manager would only ever place you in the areas you feel happy to work in, and there is a task to suit everyone's interests and experience!
The shop is located in the beautiful St Michael at the North Gate Church on Cornmarket street in the City Centre, and is open Monday- Saturday, 10.30am- 4pm, from October 9th until Christmas. Volunteers would be welcome to volunteer as often as possible, but we would expect people to offer at least 3 hours' volunteering a week, at a set time.
Finally, it's great fun to work in these shops, and a good chance to meet friendly, like-minded people whilst developing your skills.
Thank you, I look forward to hearing from you! :-)
