Customer Representative - Oxford Branch
Be the face of Nationwide. Work right on the front line of our business in one of our branches. You’ll welcome customers, get to know them and identify sales leads. And as long as you have a warm, lively personality, a flair for detail and a real way with people, customer service experience isn’t essential.
About the role
Customer Representatives play a vital role in our branches. Working with other members of the branch team, they make sure customers not only enjoy great service but that we also meet their financial needs in the most appropriate way. You’ll learn how to welcome our customers into the branch, deal with all their day-to-day needs and identify sales leads. One day you could be manning the counters. The next, greeting customers. And the next, behind a desk showing customers the different ways we can help them. As your experience grows, so will your responsibilities. Before long, you’ll be opening accounts, selling products and hitting targets.
About you
You don’t need specific experience as we’ll give you all the training you need. That said, we’ll be delighted to hear from you if you’re working in financial services at the moment and keen to move to an organisation with an unrivalled reputation for honesty and fairness. Or if you’re in retail and looking to make the most of your customer service skills. And if you bring us basic PC skills we can definitely build on those. But it’s personal qualities that will really make you stand out. Loads of self-motivation for instance. Communication and teamworking skills. And, of course, a genuine interest in people.

Basic salary up to £16,276 pa. Total package for high performers up to £20,040 pa, plus location allowance at this location.
