An expanding company is seeking a motivated and driven individual for a position amongst their team of high calibre analysts.

The company is a world leading independent consultancy. They support the metals and mining industry, including several FTSE 100 companies, by providing accurate intelligence, which allows them to make strategic decisions. The team in Oxford is comprised of highly qualified, and experienced, analysts whose expertise includes geology, metallurgy, economics, chemistry and international politics.

An opportunity exists within this multi-disciplinary team, for a self-motivated individual to research, analyse and produce regular reports based on key energy, base metal and precious metal commodities. These reports will then be presented and combined with the findings of the other analysts to produce a dossier for the client.

You will often be expected to work against tight deadlines and occasionally unsociable hours. The company however, merits hardwork accordingly with a very competitive salary package, including 21days holiday and opportunities to travel all over the world.

You will be a high calibre postgraduate in one of the following areas; economics, politics, geology, mineral economics, chemistry and/or mathematics. Our client expects an individual to have broad interests across a number of subject areas.

You will need to have;

· Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven experience in concise, clear and accurate report writing.
· A strong head for numbers, particularly data interpretation and statistical presentation using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
· Must have experience working amongst a multi disciplinary team where your contribution was critical.

Due to the global nature of the business having additional language skills are advantageous

Salary: 20-30k PA
