Sous Chef
You contribute and maintain the values of The New Inn working closely with the manager to deliver great food and service every day.
Food
Help Develop the menu with the management team/Maintain the quality and availability of the pub menu/Maintain interesting, quality, specials with good choice/Keep up to date with food journals, food pages/Storing and rotating all food items to ensure the minimum wastage/Assist in the financial performance of the business by meeting or exceeding agreed food gross profit targets, achieving stock levels.
People
Deputise in the Head Chefs absence/Motivation/Your team feel part of the achievement/Direct the work of all the kitchen team with the head chef/You coach and monitor others/You all learn/The team will go the extra mile for you/ /Help recruiting and training the kitchen team to achieve their personal best/Support front of house training to ensure good knowledge throughout
Service
You deliver the menu on the busiest services to the Peach Standard with control and accuracy.
Compliance
Keep up to date with peach accounting procedures/Ensure good practice in all aspects of the kitchen/Ensure that all equipment is functional and used according to company/manufacturers guidelines/Ensure faults or maintenance issues are dealt with promptly, working closely with the manager/Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, health and safety throughout the kitchen and comply with the legal requirements.
