Dr Shrikrishna comes from India to Oxfordshire's rural tranquillity to skillfully lead participants into meditative states through Pranayama, yoga philosophy and inner inquiry.
Organised by The Yoga Biomedical Trust, this retreat will focus on developing the practice of Pranayama and how to use it for improving the state of Mindfulness required in daily life activities. These retreats provide optimal conditions for participants to cultivate and deepen their awareness and inner silence.
Emphasis will be on experiencing the inner silence which comes from this practice. The theoretical, philosophical and technical aspects of Pranayama will be discussed with this emphasis in mind.
Dr Shrikrishna’s retreats give yoga instructors and advanced students an opportunity to experience a unique combination of yoga philosophy and yoga practice with an emphasis on Pranayama leading into silence.

St Katharine’s Parmoor, Oxfordshire
This historic house stands in 12 acres of grounds in an area of great scenic beauty and abundant wildlife. The rural tranquillity of the Chilterns, combined with a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. On entering the house, visitors find themselves in the panelled entrance hall - with its antique furniture, grand piano and stained glass windows. St. Katherine's pleasant ambience suits all for relaxation. There is also a lovely large Yoga hall for your practice.
In free time from the schedule, guests are free to stroll around the grounds, or find a quiet corner to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. There are a number of interesting features, including a walled garden, a pond, a formal garden and a former sunken garden. For residential facilities, there are a mixture of twin and single rooms, many with full or partial en-suite.
Delicious food is offered, 3 meals a day. We cater for all dietary and ethnic requirements, prepared by our professional catering staff.
