Our property is a spacious 2 bedroom house in Gran Alacant (in Alicante)Spain, situated minutes from local restaurants and bars and a scenic 10 minute walk away from the beach. Positioned at the top of a hill there are spectacular views of the sea. Alicante airport is just a 10 minute drive away.
With a marble staircase and newly decorated throughout our house has 1 double bedroom and 1 twin and also a double sofa bed downstairs. There is a fully equipped kitchen and a separate downstairs toilet. The patio is equipped with a table and chairs and it's nice to relax here after a day on the beach. There are large ceiling fans to keep you cool on the hottest of days. You will have the use of an outdoor swimming pool.
The endless beach is largely unspoilt with the occasional beach hut in the height of season.
The surrounding area, whilst still a relatively small community, has got lots of great places to eat and drink. There is a local weekly market minutes walk away where you can buy food as well as souvenirs. The local tapas bars will give you a taste of the Spanish way of life whilst the local shops can cater for all your needs.
There are local buses which pass the end of the road. The city of Alicante itself (approx. 15 kilometres away) is busy and vibrant with lots to do and see. Even closer is Santa Pola which is very Spanish and here you will see the fishermen hauling in their catch at 4pm each day.
For those of you who wish to travel further there is Benidorm where you can spend the day visiting the Marine and exotic animal park or cool off at the water park. The salt lakes in Torrevieja are a very healthy option. There are many golf courses. Should you not wish to drive you will find lots of organised trips advertised locally.
