A Principal Defence organisation in Hertfordshire currently has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Principle Support Engineer to join their existing team. As Principle Support Engineer you would have particular responsibility for delivering all aspects of IT Support Engineering and Customer Support. You will also be required to assist Support Manager with the configuration and maintenance of the selected products, assist with software and Interface upgrades by writing batch files and visual basic or C++ programming, monitoring the logistic support performance metrics, provide a timely response to customer requests and provide user advice for operators as required.

The successful candidate will have an extensive Electronic Engineering background and qualifications plus substantial practical experience in working from a basis of concepts and principles. You will also have experience in testing and diagnosis of electronic/avionic systems, software programming in C++ and visual basic, IT and computer knowledge sufficient to perform investigation, diagnosis and repair/replacement of PC equipment and associated software and the ability to mentor others.
