Oxford classes
Cuban Salsa Classes every Wednesday from 23rd September 2009
Venue: Jericho Community Centre, 33a Canal Street, Oxford OX2 6BQ
Time: Wednesdays 8pm - 9pm
Dress code: Comfortable clothes for a training session.
Important: No need to bring a partner.
From 23rd September 2009 and every Wednesday onwards, I will be teaching a regular class on Cuban Salsa at the Jericho Community Centre. I will concentrate on Cuban casino and partner work but will be teaching mambo, cha cha cha, bachata and other Latin styles at the end of each session.
I teach using the methodology from the National School of Art in La Havana to prepare students who would like to become professionals.
Beginners will learn a solid basis of Cuban dance that will help them developing the skills they need to dance with confidence and having fun at all times. For those of you who have been dancing salsa for a while and feel that you are not really improving, and really want to move your skills to the next level, I will teach you how to move and highlight any areas you need to concentrate on and practise more, so you can become a brilliant Latin dancer!
We will achieve this at your own pace and using the Cuban way of having fun!
The cost per class is £6.50 (£5 students with ID). You can also book a series of 10 lessons for the price of £45.
The main entrance of the community centre is often closed. Just press the button on the intercom labelled "dancing" and I will open the door. The dancefloor is located on the first floor.
