Our client based in Didcot are looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to cover Maternity Leave.
You will need to be AAT Qualfied or equivalent.
The key responsibilities include:
* To assist the Deputy Finance Manager in the preparation of the summary financial reports on projects
* To ensure that projects are set up on the project accounting system in order to ensure that relevant costs are captured and customers billed. Set up of project should include resource allocations, budget phasings and income accrual/deferral rules
* Review, with the Deputy Finance Manager, monthly income accruals anddeferrals generated by the project accounting system and take corrective action where necessary
* To assist the Deputy Finance Manager in the preparation of detailed monthly reports to enable Project Managers to carry out their financial responsibilities. To monitor actual results against the project budget, prepare forecasts, regularly meet and advise Managers of any corrective actions required
* To assist the Deputy Finance Manager to develop and put in place processes to ensure that staff costs and expenses are accurately charged to projects. Regularly maintain establishment list, monitoring staff movement and updating salary recovery bands.
* To assist the Deputy Finance Manager in the preparation of the annual revised project budget and that of future years in order to inform financial decisions made by the Project Managers
A good understanding of management accounting principles, specifically covering budgetary control and costing/pricing issues.
The postholder must be competent with financial modelling and reporting software, as well as financial and accounting issues including regulatory reporting, and accounting standards and principles.
