Would you like to be a Doula and gain a qualification?
What is a Doula?
Doula is a Greek word and has come to mean a woman experienced in childbirth, who provides continuous physical and informational support to the mother, during and after childbirth. A doula enables the woman to have the most satisfying and empowering time that she can during pregnancy, birth and the early days as a new mother. This type of support helps the whole family to relax and enjoy the experience.
Baby on Board Doulas, in conjunction with Eastleigh College in Hampshire have worked very closely with the Council for Awards in Children’s Care and Education (CACHE) to pioneer the first officially recognised national qualification -The Professional Doula Award Level 3 CACHE
Our aim is to provide training of the highest quality and excellence, that not only safeguards the parents at a vulnerable and exciting time, but also the Doula, so she herself can enable, inform, support and empower parents.
