in cash on arrival to the mum + 10E deposit for the keys.

With it you have a basic breakfast (cereales, milk, juice, the, coffee, biscottes, butter and jam)may be baguette. .
Double room, your bathroom, shower only, kitchenette with oven, microwave, fridge, ...

You may be able to practice your french with mum, but you have the Market every morning 3 mns walk, plus local boulistes, why not join them...local cafes, bars, nightclub and many shops and a view of the valley.
town center is 15mns walk along remparts to irish pub, big screen cinema, restaurants in old town near big covered Market, buses to Cognac, Jarnac (Mitterand) for strolls and degustation wine and Cognac in chais (Hine, Courvoisier, Royer, Martel, Hennessy...) to river side and boat trips...(you will contact the Tourist Office)
