Up for auction is one Antique Bronze Pietra Dura Mosaic Jewellery Casket
Circa mid - 19th Century
Top and sides are deeply and skilfully engraved.
Beautiful oval shaped cartouche on the lid with large Pietra Dura insert atop depicting floral bouquet, and intricate enamelled floral escutcheon to the front.
Original pink velvet lining
Pietra Dura and enamel work are in excellent, undamaged condition.
In excellent and original overall condition, except for two faults:
1. Casket has its key but the lock is not functional.
2. Hinge to rear of the lid is broken.

Offered as is, but with some basic and simple repair work, will easily become an exquisite and elegant casket.
