Spend your holidays in a charming chalet located in Gerês, in the North of Portugal. With stunning views to Caniçada dam and the mountains of Gerês, you will surely have an unforgettable time. Gerês is a charming spa village with a lot to offer, from its spa/natural treatments and handicraft shops to cafés, a beautiful park and neighbouring little rural villages. If you enjoy mountain walks and/or water sports, there are many activities available. This place is ideal for nature lovers, walkers, and basically anyone who enjoys peace and quiet and privacy surrounded by unspoilt natural beauty.

Originally a 19th century water mill, the chalet has been recently restored and fully furnished to a high standard, and is made up of a spacious double room, with in-built wardrobe; a WC with shower, and an ample living room/kitchenette area with TV and fully equipped kitchen (including cooker, oven, fridge, all kitchen utensils). A sofa-bed and a folding bed are also available, so it can accommodate 5 people comfortably. The rates are: low season (from now until end of June) €20 ppn (c. £17); and high season, €30 ppn (July and August, c. £24). A reduced rate is offered for children. The chalet is rented with sheets, towels and table cloths. To reserve, a deposit of 50% of the total sum is required prior to arrival. The remaining amount will be paid upon arrival.

This property is situated off the N308-1 road, in Vilar da Veiga, Meia Légua, a few minutes from Caniçada dam and the centre of the village of Gerês. The Spanish region of Galicia is about half an hour away by car. The closest airport is Oporto International Airport (Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro, Porto, Portugal), which is about an hour and a half away. TAP and Ryanair fly daily directly to Oporto from the main UK airports. This property is being rented by the owner, so there are no hidden fees or middlemen.
