Oxford Christmas Market
The Oxford Christmas Market is a German-style Christmas Market which takes place in the heart of the city at the Oxford Castle from 10–20 December 2009 and includes 25-30 wooden stalls selling mostly handmade and fair-trade products, hot mulled wine, gingerbread and seasonal local food. Two charities are given a free stall during the event and the proceeds from their sales will help support their good causes. School choirs and brass bands are performing Christmas carols throughout the 10 days, adding to the festive atmosphere, and a small Victorian carousel will delight the children.
Come along with your family and friends to enjoy a great day out whilst getting absorbed into the festive spirit.
An opening ceremony takes place on 10th December at 5pm. The Christmas Market will be open until 8pm that day.
