The Railway is looking for an enthusiastic Bar Worker to join their friendly team.
A minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role is required.
Located in the picturesque village of Wheatley, The Railway has lots of character. A family pub serving home cooked quality food at reasonable pub prices and a large function room that hosts many different events, from live music to company training. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of food & beverages. The right person will be in charge of the pub in the manager’s absence, therefore attention to detail is a must as this is what makes us different from our competitors.
I am looking for a confident, friendly individual with a great sense of humour that speaks fluent English, and is looking to commit to the position for a minimum of 1year.
Experience in a supervisory role, sound knowledge and experience of bars.
A knowledge and understanding of sales strategies & business development is desirable.
You must have customer focus, excellent communication skills, decision making skills and be flexible and adaptable. Attention to detail, motivated to succeed and great organisational skills are also a must. A personal licence, and cellar experience, is advantageous.
The applicant will be required to run the floor in the manager’s absence, so function experience is essential. You will be required to lock up on a regular basis as this is a live in position.
References will be required. The role will be paid at an hourly rate of £6.50
