Elegant Mahogany TV cabinet

This large cabinet is a bespoke adaptation of the lower half of an original Georgian chest-on-chest. We had it made to blend in with our antiques in the 1980's but the original chest was about 1790 - 1800. It holds a large TV and has slots for shelving so that you could fit a DVD or satellite box underneath depending on size of your screen. There are outlets at the back for cables and heat.

The front is formed from the original flame mahogany drawer fronts, which you can see have a beautiful patina. The clever mechanism inside was designed by a master cabinet maker to allow the front to push up and over to see the screen. The lower 'drawer' drops down. The top of the chest was replaced and is distressed in keeping with the antiquity of the rest of the piece. The front retains the orignal Georgian handles. This is truly wonderful piece for anyone looking to house a modern TV screen in a traditional setting.

Internal: 26.5 inches by 44 inches by 21 inches
