Product Manager (Life Sciences)

Working within a busy marketing department, our life sciences client is looking to recruit a Market Segment Manager. You will be responsible for marketing a range of life science consumables to a global client base and will take responsibility for increasing the turnover of the product ranges by identifying and targeting the appropriate customers. This opportunity requires in-depth analysis, identification of new markets segments, and the development of strategies to unlock the accounts.
The ideal candidate will have a laboratory research background in immunology (or related), ideally with some knowledge of stem cell research. You will be degree qualified (or higher) in a relevant biological discipline, or have equivalent industrial laboratory experience. Previous sales or marketing experience would be advantageous and you will have an analytical way of thinking and able to develop & deliver solutions to agreed timescales. Candidates must be comfortable interfacing with customers and colleagues at all levels.
Reporting to the Market Research Manager, you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will have the drive to achieve successes through your own initiative. The key responsibilities will include:
- Management of the assigned product and market segments (technical and commercial aspect)
- Keep up to date with the assigned market sector
- Participate in setting corporate targets within assigned market sector
- Commercial planning and development of marketing material in conjunction with marketing
- Interactions with customers and KOL's
