Senior Animator
My client, considered one of Europes finest game developers, are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Animator to join a team of Animators on an exciting new project.
The successful candidate will be one who can not only demonstrate a passion and skill for character animation, but also a professional drive to continuosly be 'one step ahead.'
For this role you should possess some / all of the following:
-Outstanding knowledge of 3dMax and character studio
-Outstanding animation skills demonstrating knowledge and application of weight, timing, pace, poses and storytelling
-Excellent understanding of how animation must work in harmony with the game design
-Genuine passion for animation, bringing characters to life with realistic human and animal motion, and playing computer games
-Sound understanding of technical innovations that could be used to improve animation systems
-Experience of tidying and using motion capture data, as well as organising and directing motion capture shoots
-Knowledge of using a proprietary game engine such as Unreal an advantage
-Knowledge of 3dMax scripting, Python, C, C++ a distinct advantage
Responsibilities:
Oversee and take responsibility for all aspects of the animation solutions and pipeline for entire game projects.
Work effectively with the animation team, demonstrating strong time management skills to ensure tasks are completed on schedule to required standard.
Create development plans and give appropriate direction to Rebellion team members and possible external production, liaising with other discipline leads throughout the production cycle.
Work effectively in guiding an animation team, distributing tasks, mentoring staff and overseeing their day to day organization.
Continuation of your technical knowledge, including adapting to new technologies and processes.
It is expected that you have at least 3 years’ games industry experience in animation, which should include previous work on major published titles, at least one full game production cycle.
Candidates with experience managing a team of Animators is highly sought after, though the position is also open to those looking to step up into the role.
Qualifications:
A high degree in Digital Animation, Computer & Video Games, Computer Animation and Special Effects or Games Technology are highly beneficial, though it is not entirely essential should you have the relevant experience.
