Hello,

My name is Elsa. I am a 23-year-old French national living permanently in Oxford. I am currently studying for an Early Years degree through a distance course and would love to make use of my free time during the day to look after children.

I have a lot of experience with children of all ages; I have been an aupair in two different families minding young children, worked in two primary schools in Oxford as a Language assistant for a year and been a regular helper at the Montessori nursery in Iffley. I still work for them from time to time.

I feel very confident with pre-school aged children and have many activities ready for use. I encourage children to be creative through arts and crafts activities and free imaginative play.

I am a real bookworm and supports reading by sharing stories with children and doing activities around a book they particularly enjoy. If it is the parents' wish, I can do some of these activities in French with the children. I have a collection of French children's books and songs that I would be happy to use.

One of my other passions is cookery and children usually love to join in to make their own lunch. I think a healthy diet is essential to a healthy body and mind and crucial for growing children. I will respect children's special diets and likes and dislikes. I support breastfeeding and will be happy to feed babies their mother's milk.

I believe that outdoors should play a large part in children's lives and will take them outside as much as possible.

I am ideally looking for a regular babysitting job (at least once a week) at a reasonable distance from Rose Hill/Iffley where I am based. There is also a possibility of children coming to my house (I have toys, books, percussion instruments, craft materials and a very large garden available). I currently work from 3 pm to 4 pm every day but will be available any other times.

I am a non-smoker, CRB checked, with references.
